Construction management begins with a comprehensive site audit, which includes a thorough examination of the facility, its mechanical and electrical systems, security, and IT as well as an analysis of energy usage.  This audit, in conjunction with conversations with building owners, administration and occupants, is then used to create a scope of work.  After a mutually agreed upon scope of work is created, H&H will design, engineer, and manage each project to the highest caliber until the last project is completed.  This creates a turn key solution for the client whose focus should be on items other then construction.

Financing Options

Performance Contract

A performance contract is a guarantee between the contractor and customer of savings each year over a period of time.  Financing under a performance contract is a situation where the contractor itself funds the project and gets paid back over an agreed time period via a portion of the guaranteed savings.  In any instance, H&H can help you understand the pros and cons of this model to determine if it is a correct fit for you.

Public Bonds

If you are a public institution, you are free to capitalize on long term, low interest financing using municipal bonds. Bond rates are at a historic low and now is a great time to finance those capital intense projects.  H&H can help you navigate your bond options to secure low rates and level out your billing now and into the future.

Private Financing

Private financing is an option for both public and private entities. Private financing generally does not offer terms beyond seven years except in cases where Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing is available. In such cases, financing can go out to 20 year terms and is generally cash neutral or positive from day one.  Private financing can be a great option if you are looking to keep the dollars local.
